Here's a pic I took yesterday of me and my doggie infront of my little tree. It's just a small potted Norfolk Pine that I can plant in the garden come spring.

most of my family live in kentucky.. i love decorating the christmas tree.

i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.
he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.

aaawww Steph I'm so very sorry to hear this news! My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
Your dad was a well loved and respected member of this little community we have here and will be sorely missed. His written words of encouragement will live on here for all to reflect back on for a long time to come.

by faundy injust to let everyone on here who knows my dad, that he is seriously ill, and unfortunately on life support.
he has renal and respiratory failure as a result of the quickest onset of pneumonia i have ever seen... it came on in the early hours of this morning.
he is waiting for an intensive care bed but the nearest one is 200 miles away.

it's getting easier...

i was surprised at how easy it was to tell these people that i used to be a jw.

Well, I don't bring it up to everyone I meet lol. It just seemed strange that I met two new people in the last two weeks and the topic of how bad religion is came up (guess I'm meeting the right people lol). It gave us something to talk about, and the conversation just flowed, I couldn't believe how easy it was to talk about my past.

I was surprised at how easy it was to tell these people that I used to be a JW. I've never had an easy time talking to people about my background and upbringing, and there are still people that have known me for years that don't know that I used to be a JW, but it's getting easier to talk about. I'm not feeling so embarassed or ashamed anymore. I think this is a good thing!

I bought a small, 3' potted tree and decorated it with some mini lights and gold balls and bows. In the spring I can plant it in the yard.
